Sudoku Odyssey is a native iOS app for iPhone and iPad running iOS 16 or later. It's optimised for all modern iPhone and iPad screen sizes.

No internet connection is required to play puzzles. Puzzles are generated on-device using a seeded algorithm. An internet connection is only needed to make a purchase or restore purchases.

Every day at midnight a new puzzle is generated using today's date as a seed. Everyone who plays on the same day gets the exact same puzzle — so you can compare times with friends.

Your progress on the daily challenge is saved automatically so you can pick up where you left off.

Puzzles are generated algorithmically on-device using a seeded pseudorandom number generator. The seed is derived from the date (for daily challenges) or a random value (for regular games). Each puzzle has exactly one solution.

Yes — tap the undo button (↩) in the toolbar to step back one move at a time.

When enabled in Settings, any number you enter that conflicts with the puzzle's solution is highlighted in red as you type. Turn it off for a more traditional, challenge-based experience.

There are four difficulties: Easy (many given clues), Medium, Hard, and Expert (fewest clues, requires advanced techniques). Each is carefully tuned for a fair but challenging solve.

Tap the palette icon in the top bar during a game (or from the home screen) to open the style picker. You'll see free styles available immediately, and premium styles locked behind a single one-time purchase.

Tap Unlock All Boards to purchase — you'll never be charged again.

Open Sudoku Odyssey, go to the style picker, and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID you used when you originally purchased. The unlock will be restored at no additional charge.

Yes! Your currently selected board style applies to every puzzle, including the daily challenge. Switch styles any time from the style picker.

The purchase is $4.99 USD (or equivalent in your local currency). It's a one-time payment — no subscription, no recurring charges, no hidden fees.

First, try tapping Restore Purchases in the style picker. If that doesn't resolve it, please email us at sudokuodyssey@gmail.com with your Apple order number (found in your App Store receipt email) and we'll sort it out.

All purchases are processed by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID. Apple handles all refund decisions per their App Store Terms.

Sudoku Odyssey collects minimal, anonymised analytics data (e.g. app launches, puzzle completions) to help us improve the app. We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifying information.

We do not sell your data. Analytics data is processed by Firebase (Google) under their privacy terms. Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple. We have no access to your payment information.
